If you aren’t receiving sound notifications when your alerts come through then your device’s clock is probably set wrong. This can be because of a number of things but it’s most often due to your VPN confusing your computer and causing it to set your device’s clock wrong.
In order to fix the issue you need to re-set your device’s clock. Depending on your operating system this process will look slightly different.

Click ‘System Settings‘
Click ‘Date & Time’
Toggle off ‘Set time and date automatically’
Toggle on ‘Set time and date automatically’
How to Avoid the Problem Returning
To avoid your device’s clock becoming incorrectly set again then do not use VPNs in the future.
If you must use VPNs then repeat the steps above every time your sound alerts stop working.
